Day Four Food Journal
This is my last day to just look for patterns. I will be continuing to journal to keep myself mindful of what I am eating. Here is the fourth day. I cannot wait to look over it and see how I can begin to eat healthier!!
Breakfast 7 AM-
Three strips of bacon
One half of Live G-Free waffle. ¼ cup blueberries. 4 TB maple syrup. 2 TB butter
3 cups coffee with 5 TB ID Pumpkin Spice Coffee
Snack 10 AM-
The other half of waffle. 2 TB of Jif Crunchy
Lunch 1 PM-
Chic-Fila sandwich meal. Sandwich, fries, 2 sweet teas. 4 CF sauces. 4 BBQ sauces.
2 nuggets. Handful of kid’s fries.
Snack 3 PM-
handful of Aldi’s mixed nuts
3:20 PM-
Handful of blueberries. ½ bag small Doritos
4:00 PM-
½ bag microwave popcorn
Dinner 6:30 PM-
5 slices of pepperoni pizza from local delivery place
Handful of tater tots
Dessert-
1 cup of DD Ice Cream with chocolate syrup, peanuts, ½ banana sliced
10:30 PM-
Plate of nachos: Handful of tortilla chips, ⅓ cup shredded cheese, 3 TB of sour cream, ¼ cup salsa
This was an interesting day at home. It was a rainy Saturday so we were indoors most of it. We went shopping and stopped at our favorite restaurant to eat. I noticed I just constantly snacked when I looked back on the day. It seems if I work outside I do not eat, or if I am inside, I constantly snack.
A few takeaways:
Constantly snack on rainy days
Eat more with finishing the kids’ leftovers
I eat late at night
I love nuts and nut butters
Our family has a daily dessert tradition of ice cream
When I look over the last four days of my eating I wonder what I will see? What do you see? If you notice what I am eating, do you see any similarities or patterns to how you eat?
My next few posts will now be on how to look over the journal and what to start doing. I will also break down the macros, calories and sugar for each day so I can see exactly how my food breaks down. I definitely underestimate how much I eat.
